Chief Executive - North America
Jimmy Etheredge is Accenture’s chief executive of North America, leading the company’s business in the United States—the company’s largest market—and Canada. He is also a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Jimmy joined Accenture in 1985 and became a partner in 1997. Prior to assuming his current role in September 2019, Jimmy was senior managing director–US Southeast, responsible for Accenture’s business in 10 states, including the key markets of Washington, D.C., Charlotte and Atlanta. In that role, Jimmy focused on bringing innovation to clients, attracting top talent and strengthening the company’s impact in its communities.
Among Jimmy’s accomplishments in his previous role was extending Accenture’s innovation hub network—creating a new innovation hub on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta and expanding the company’s metro D.C. innovation hub. As a passionate advocate of inclusive innovation, Jimmy also brought Accenture’s national professional apprenticeship program to these two markets, creating new pathways for workers of all skill levels to adapt and thrive in the digital economy.
Before leading the US Southeast region, Jimmy led Accenture’s Products operating unit in North America, managing the company’s business in this market across the retail, consumer goods, travel, manufacturing and life sciences industries.
Based in Atlanta, Jimmy is committed to community development and serves on the boards of several Atlanta-area organizations, including the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Rotary Club. In recognition of his business success and commitment to the Atlanta community, the Atlanta Business Chronicle named Jimmy to its list of Atlanta’s Most Admired CEOs in 2018.
A graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in industrial engineering, Jimmy remains active with his alma mater, serving as a trustee of the school and on the Alexander Thorpe board of directors; he was also inducted into the school’s Hill Society.
