Key Responsibilities

Immigration

  • Oversee all aspects of the Visa and Immigration Service, ensuring that the process runs smoothly.
  • Support efficient working of countries to deliver consistent services, better results, drive improvement and reduce cost.
  • Provide continuous improvement to processes, tools and training, based on ongoing experience, process feedback from process users and other stakeholders to drive further efficiencies in the organization.
  • Remain up to date with any changes to legislations. Update internal Mobility Network Team on new immigration policies and procedures
  • Counsel and respond to queries from human resources, business/project and employees on all global immigration-related matters. This would include visa processing, documentation, visa options, risks, timelines, etc.
  • Take care of all Immigration issues and drive successful resolutions under the supervision of Mobility Lead for GC.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Manage Risk and compliance with regards to immigration and policy requirements
  • Ensure delivery of employee immigration operations by Mobility Network Team in accordance with internal policy and legal requirements.
  • Point of escalation for Mobility Network Team for immigration related issue.
  • Provide support for Employee Tax Team for controversy issues when needed.
  • Perform customer request/problem identification and follow defined incident notification and escalation procedures to ensure they are communicated effectively and receive proper management attention to be resolved correctly under the supervision of Mobility Lead for GC.

Immigration Vendor Management

  • Ensure working relationship with external immigration service provider is established, Statements of Work (SOW's) are completed and deliverables for immigration compliance are set up and met
  • Maintain good relationships with appointed immigration service providers and ensure that employees are receiving quality service at all times
  • Manage service agreement with all immigration vendor cross GC, including but not limited to contract renewal. Where applicable, negotiate costs with the support of the procurement team
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and rationalize across vendors and reduce cost under the supervision of Mobility Lead for GC

Case Management

  • Support Destination Service contract and payment (mainland China only).
  • Review/support payment requests and vendor invoices as necessary.
  • Provide assignment/transfer cost estimate if requested.

Advisory

  • Provide basic advice on cross border policies types (e.g. cross border assignment, permanent transfers, etc)
  • Analyse and provide solution for complex immigration situations and inquires under the supervision of Mobility Lead for GC.
  • Assist with ad hoc queries

General

  • Establish relationships with local (GC) key Mobility stakeholders such as HR, Recruitment, Business Project Contacts, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate team work and process integration across mobility teams, including Mobility Network team and cross-functional
  • Contribute to a positive work environment; be a role model for cross-teaming/collaboration
  • Assist with ad-hoc advisory tasks or projects where required

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • University degree or equivalent higher education qualification
  • Qualification in a related field (e.g. Immigration, Tax, HR) an advantage

Skills

  • Strong customer service and teaming skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft applications (excel, word, exchange) plus job specific tools (People Mobility Gateway, Immigration toolkit, Share Point, etc)
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time and meet required deadlines.
  • Experience in immigration, assignment management or tax is an advantage
  • Thorough understanding of Accenture’s global policies as applicable to cross border assignments and permanent transfers, and any applicable local country addenda (including travel, immigration, tax equalization, finance) is an advantage

Work Experience

  • 2-5 years with a multinational company in the field of service delivery or relocation management company preferred; experience in immigration, expatriate administration or tax is an advantage.
