  • Global Legal Network is a group of professionals operating globally from 11 countries. It provides a broad spectrum of differentiated services - focused on delivering value and innovation. We partner with Legal teams across Accenture to build efficiencies and centers of excellence related to Legal services; and through our size, geographic spread and language diversity, the Global Legal Network is able to drive quality, agility and speed in our services, aligned to Accenture’s relentless focus on maximum efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Acquisitions and Corporate Advisory (ACA) is part of our Corporate Services. Our Acquisition team provide expertise and accurate due diligence reviews to the M&As to match the type of business or company being acquired, such as its risk profile, customer base, and product lines, conducting synergies assessments by deal type (channel, scope, scale, technology) to ensure value is not lost during integration. Additionally, the Corporate Support teams have a broad view into overall corporate operations to collaborate in key corporate areas such as (i) Treasury, (ii) Equity, (iii) E-Discovery, (iv) Litigation, (v) Contract Documentation Alignment Team (CDAT), (vi) Government relations and (vii) Legal Cyber Review Team (LCRT).
  • As other corporate functions, ACA is also already focusing on technology disruption. The “three A’s” (automation, artificial intelligence, and analytics) are just a few technology disrupters that will likely shape the function in the near future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute GR strategy, aligned with and supportive to the company’s business strategy in Greater China, building and enhancing Accenture’s reputation among government stakeholders.
  • Assist in the analysis of and report on policy, regulatory, and political developments at the national, provincial and municipal levels that are important to our business and that of our clients; including helping improve effective communication on these developments internally and externally.
  • Project managing China´s Government Relations programmes to facilitate their progress and track and report on outcomes.
  • Assist team in the preparation for events, meetings or other engagements with government or policymakers through the creation of briefing books, talking points, and other background material.
  • Assist applications for government subsidy projects, government awards and honors.
  • Support internal programs to ensure compliance with transparency and ethics requirements on lobbying and Accenture’s own ethics and compliance policies, including regarding our membership of associations.
  • Track all projects onto the GR Tracker and post a on monthly basis the data onto the GLN metrics.
  • Supervise and check projects before delivering the final version to the stakeholder. Check and double check to make sure all gaps are covered.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, International Relations, or English and other related fields.

Work Experience

  • Preferably 4 years’ + of experience with Government Relations / Public Affairs in multinational companies, trade associations, government positions or at law firm and/or as in-house counsel.

Work requirements

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Travel may be required.

  • Familiar with and interest in the Chinese political and economic environment.
  • Highly organized and results focused, comfortable working to tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative and ability to work simultaneously with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills, with proven ability to organize, manage and deliver major projects while approaching situations with agile mindset.
  • Educational background, specific experience, and or demonstrable interest in our sector’s business and policy issues.
  • Familiarity and experience with Management tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Proven ability to work in group. Strong demonstrated interest in innovation and policy issues.
  • Cooperative skills, time management, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
