Job Description

ORU (Online Remote Update) is a key service within the connected vehicle domain, which offers the opportunity to remotely update software of ECUs in the vehicle, add new service features and to provide security updates.

 Your Job:

  • Key player, expert within the ORU team. Responsible for vehicle and backend integration (end-to-end, including testing)

  • Cooperate and coordinate with global ORU function owner in Germany to perform knowhow-transfer regarding technical ORU concept, processes and backend architecture

  • Responsible for requirement analysis, preparation of design and development requirement documents, cooperate with the team to improve technical specifications

  • Define and analysis CHN specific technical requirements and legal regulation according to different CHN requests and Standards (e.g. GB, CSL… )

  • Manage feature build up, implementation, change requests, testing and end-to-end process clarification

  • Define and clarify ORU test strategy, responsible for execution and quality assurance (incl. error handling)

  • Provide ORU technical integration support to Joint Ventures, internal vehicle testing and quality departments via onsite support and end-to-end workshops

  • Set up test-vehicle and test-rack, including CANoe simulation, testing tool configuration for trace and log capturing

  • Provide ORU training and knowledge sharing for new colleagues and JVs

  • Response for team set up and budget planning

 Professional Experience:

     University degree in engineering/IT, e.g. computer science or equivalent working experience

     More than 3 years working experience in the automotive industry

     Comprehensive expertise in coordinating/developing/testing connected car services, expe

rience with Online Remote Update service development and testing is as plus

      Strong knowhow about vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and vehicle architecture, CAN

signals, CANoe simulation, Ethernet, MQTT, API testing

      Strong log analysis skills, experience with error handling

      Strong interdisciplinary communication (includes IT specialists, technical departments,

business and aftersales departments)

Soft Skills & Attitude

      High degree of self-initiative, eager, willingness to learn

      Good presentation & communication skills

      Excellent oral & written English skills. German as a plus

      Good team player
