Cross Border Finance is a professional network of subject matter experts working within a Center of Expertise (CoE), executing across a highly complex global program.  The CBF CoE is responsible for all aspects of income tax and relocation accounting for international assignments. Supporting the enforcing of financial positions and implementation of accounting procedures at country levels in line with global model. Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Accenture policies and US GAAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Support tax accounting, internal controls and compliance processes including accruals, true ups, receivables, intercompany transfers; reporting and analysing the balance sheet for multiple countries
  • Execute activities for accurate reporting and consolidation of accounting results
  • Timely and accurate completion and tracking of income tax true ups; focusing on ageing tax matters, collaborating globally with tax teams to research reasons preventing closure
  • Reconciliation of Global Transfer Finance sub-ledger to general ledger for employee tax deductions and payments
  • Preparation of monthly tax reconciliations and pre/post close reports to ensure accounts are fairly stated
  • Preparation of reports for detailed analysis to minimise financial exposure for taxes charged to client engagements
  • Receivables management for Tax Equalization Settlements; accounting, reconciliations, ageing analysis and collection follow up
  • Develop a clear understanding of internal systems and international tax transactions and processes to aid balance sheet analysis
  • Establish self as Cross Border Finance Subject Matter Expert
  • Respond to business queries from local Finance, global Finance, Project Managers, Mobility, and Global Tax Group
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional/global teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively to support deployment of end-to-end process, accounting requirements, reporting and controls for emerging economies, and changes in local country tax legislation
  • Support external and internal audits; provide supporting documentation, knowledge of underling processes, analysis, and financial reports
  • Support V&A finance integration activities to ensure alignment with Accenture standards for acquired companies
  • Reconciliation of financial statements for acquired companies
  • Execute entity liquidation activities such as clearing the Balance Sheet accounts in a timely and proper manner
  • Support continuous improvement of existing processes and tools; proactively participate in special projects and global initiatives
  • Help create and maintain process documentation and delivery of training to new joiners



    Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of Accounting standards and legislation (US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley)
    • First class numerical and technical analysis skills
    • Positive attitude and flexible
    • Sense of responsibility, initiative, and high-quality work standard
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
    • Team worker with ability to coach and motivate team
    • Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft skills

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting or related major
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in Accounting/Tax Management/Financial Reporting preferred
    • Understanding of Accenture’s global policies applicable to international travel and transfers an advantage
    • Knowledge of international travel and tax program/processes an advantage
    • Good English writing and oral communication skills
