Overall Responsibility

The Intercompany Associate Manager is a senior member in the Intercompany Accounting Group in Dalian. The main objectives of the role are to ensure the financial accuracy and reconciliation of the intercompany positions between Accenture entities at global level. Rigorous implementation of the accounting policies and transfer pricing conditions to achieve tax compliance. Supporting the transition of new tasks and ad-hoc projects. Lead and coach junior team members to achieve team’s objectives.

Role Expectations

  • Answer or research questions regarding intercompany invoicing, settlement, & related taxes
  • Guide team members on urgent or special queries
  • Assist defining and testing global Intercompany initiatives, system enhancement projects as well as providing solid support to countries’ Intercompany related projects
  • Collaborate with intercompany lead to continuously improve existing Intercompany systems, processes, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with controllerships and area tax leads in intercompany contract information to useful format for audit information, local country tax compliance, transfer pricing analysis and other special requests
  • Prepare reports for internal controls related to intercompany invoicing, settlement, withholding tax, and consolidation/elimination
  • Analyze reports ensuring accurate transfer pricing.  Collaborate with controllership and area tax leads to propose journal entries to adjust results as needed
  • Direct the integration of acquired companies or joint ventures into the intercompany contract structure and into the SAP accounting system to ensure transactions are properly recorded & supported as well as eliminated in consolidation
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to enable leadership to make key business decisions
  • Review financial reports created by team, like balance confirmations and overdue invoices
  • Take the responsibility to train members to continuously improve their finance and Intercompany knowledge
  • Involve in/lead Center and/or Controllership wide initiative project
  • Be able to work in a flexible working time – early night shift during closing period

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in Accounting / Finance or related major
  • At least 8 years accounting background working experience, with at least 5 years team management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of business, finance and accounting fundamentals including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong SAP or similar systems skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; be self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills, with ability to manage implementation projects within tight time constraints
  • Leadership ability to inspire people and obtain results through others
  • Ability to interact effectively with various groups
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Good sense on Operational Improvement/Delivery/Operation Effectiveness methodology, procedures and tools and individual efficiency and productivity measurement and improvement
