Job Summary


        The candidate is to assist payroll manager with overall supervision on payroll operations to assure the accuracy of the deliverables and the operational excellence.

        Ensure the effective and efficient payroll processes and maintain compliance and robust controls.

        Work collaboratively with internal and external partners for employee benefits management.

        Manage the relationship with the external vendors to meet the business/operational requirements.

        Proactively work with the local and global community to drive the prioritized projects/initiatives, manage the change implementation, and continuously improve the operation efficiency and quality.

        Be the Point of Contact (POC) to stakeholders. Maintain and enhance the stakeholder relationships.  

        Act as supervisor over subordinates on job review, task allocation, compliance control as well as people counselling and coaching. etc.


Key Responsibilities


  • Overall supervise payroll operation processes and deliverables (e.g. reasonability of the inputted data, system performance, accuracy of payroll calculation, payroll audit and reporting), ensuring the achievement of operational excellence.
  • Supervise the benefits calculation and offer the advises to stakeholders on the needed basis.
  • Support the strategy of payroll integration for Venture & Acquisition companies and assure the success and risk elimination.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting in various government jurisdictions, remaining alignment with local requirements.
  • Ensure the compliance and robust controls. Own the risk management across the in-scope operations.
  • Drive/lead the local and global prioritized projects/initiatives to support the business strategy and continuously improve the operation processes.
  • Stakeholder relationship maintenance and enhancement activities
  • Liaise with management and employees regarding pay enquiries
  • Motivate team, evaluate personnel performance and provide leadership to accomplish objectives.

Qualifications and Skillsets


  • 7+ years’ working experience in payroll operation activities or HR total rewards, share/equity scheme will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with payroll system and tool will be a plus
  • Insights over individual income tax will be preferable
  • Undergraduate degree or above
  • Good English writing and oral communication skills
  • Analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking skills, under pressure
  • Excellent technical skills with MS Excel and Outlook
  • Good sense on DE, FORM, DT methodologies, procedures and tools and individual efficiency and productivity measurement and improvement.
  • Be proactive, agile, passionate, accountable
