The company reinvented its logistics operations by using SynOps, Accenture’s human+machine platform, to accelerate the journey to a digital, data-driven, intelligent operating model. Using analytics, robotics and human ingenuity, the team was able to set up a centralized control tower that could lower transportation costs while streamlining operations.

By implementing a new, data-driven transport management system that delivered sophisticated analytics, the company generated new insights that paved the road to smoother and more efficient operations.

Specifically, it was also better equipped to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while managing carrier and third-party logistics performance. Additionally, data analysis provided full visibility into process execution supported with root cause analysis and scenario simulations to continually improve operational performance.

Built-in intelligence and new data gleaned from analytics were instrumental in making more informed decisions and improving overall productivity. Data mining also helped make better inventory management decisions.
