Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
- Strong knowledge of RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Knowledge of code push-down techniques using AMDP and CDS views in HANA environments.
- Familiarity with 3rd party integration technologies (RFC, IDoc, OData, RESTful & SOAP APIs, as well as CPI).
- Hands-on experience with SAP UI5, Fiori is a plus.
- Experience in one or more general programming/scripting languages such as Java, C#, ReactJS or similar is a plus
- Knowledge of software development in general (methodology, concepts, design patterns) and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework and Issue Management Tools (such as Jira) is a plus
- Experience working independently on client projects.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Solid understanding of at least one business process they’ve previously worked on.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex ABAP programs, enhancements, and custom solutions within SAP systems.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide consulting and technical guidance to stakeholders and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize existing code for performance and maintainability.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, and post-go-live support.
- Stay up to date with SAP innovations (e.g., ABAP Cloud, RAP) and apply modern development practices.
- Explore opportunities to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
