Your responsibilities
You will help drive the CEO and CCO agenda on key challenges such as anticipating and addressing market disruptions in an ever changing world, accessing financing to support trading activities, deploying new business models to capture market opportunities or enter new commodity markets.
Deliver successful strategy engagements, addressing our clients’ business challenges to create commercial success together on topics including:
Growth and portfolio strategy, e.g. by entering into new commodity markets
Commercial (asset) optimization along the value chain
Trading & risk future operating models
Commodity trading technology, leveraging state of the art analytics, ML and AI
Transformation agenda
Lead and manage work streams and/or work efforts as an individual contributor role at a client or within Accenture
Support in developing client relationships and identifying commercial opportunities
What we’re looking forward to
A minimum of 6 years professional experience in strategy consulting working in commodity markets, investment banking or a relevant position in industry
Knowledge of how global markets operate and an understanding of commodity trends, in one or more of the following industries: oil & gas, power utilities, agriculture and soft commodities, metals, mining, transportation, and capital markets
Experience/skills in Front Office (origination, trading, valuation, portfolio management) and/or Middle Office and Risk Management (market risk, credit risk, limits management, etc.) and/or Back Office
Knowledge of commonly traded products including commodity/interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange, etc.
Experience in research and data analysis, in business case development, financial analysis and a demonstrable understanding of financial statements and competence in developing presentations required (MS Office)
