SERVICE DESIGN LEAD

As a Service Design Lead, you’ll own the service design practice and delivery on a project level. You’ll be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to produce quality design work for our clients. You’ll also manage senior-level designers, establish processes, estimate level of effort, and liaise with other Design Leads to facilitate knowledge sharing within our studio, and also across Europe and beyond. This is your opportunity to evolve integrated design as both a discipline and a practice on a global scale.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING AS A SERVICE DESIGNER
We’re looking for candidates that have a background in Service Design, and a proven track record as a Design Leader. You will have had experience leading teams and delivered design solutions for a variety of clients – our expectation is that you’ll have experience in service design (design research, business design, storytelling) and have a portfolio that demonstrates your great work, and your ability to communicate a story.

  • Passion for design and people
  • Relevant industry experience (we work in a commercial, fast-paced environment – perfect for some, and challenging for others)
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with and inspire others
  • Expert knowledge of service design methods
  • An ability to design and facilitate design workshops
  • Experience in design research
  • Experience in stakeholder management and engagement
  • Experience with business design in your previous engagements
  • Public speaking and presentation skills in German and English

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
  • To be fully transparent about our process, it looks like this:
  • We pre screen your application – usually 2 members of our design team, including a design director will review your CV and Portfolio.
  • Candidates that pass this step will be invited for a phone interview. The goal of the phone interview is to understand a bit more about you, your approach and what you might expect from us as a future team.
  • If we are all feeling great after that, we would invite you to meet us in person. We would aim for you to meet some of the team, after a more traditional one-on-one interview with a potential peer group and design leadership.
  • Then, we will go from there.
