Role Description: Possesses deep knowledge in Master Data Governance and all aspects of Material Master object · Demonstrates functional experience with the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) application, including configuration and development · Deep understanding in customization of Material Master fields and tables · Responsible for requirements gathering and translate into functional design specifications · Prepare business process design, conduct detail design review, perform configuration setup in client development and test environment · Support WRICEF development and ensure delivery of objects as per the timelines · Lead and guide teams to ensure overall successful delivery of the defined solution · Coordinate with cross functional teams impacting the area of expertise to ensure appropriate resolutions.
Essential Skills: Experience in SAP MDG 8.0, 9.0 and/or 9.2 and S/4 HANA MM module · Expertise in Implementation of SAP MDG Solution for master data objects like Material, Vendor, etc. including: · Data Model Enhancement, Data Transfer (DIF/DEF), Data Replication Framework (DRF), Business Rules Framework plus (BRF+) · Experience in configuring rule-based Workflow, integrating business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP Master Data Governance. · User interface modelling (Value restriction, Data quality, Validation and Derivation rules). · Process Modelling (Entity, Business Activity change, Request type, Workflow, Data replication techniques, ALE connection, Key & value mapping, Data transfer, Convert master data). · Expert knowledge in activation and configuration of the MDG-M module & its components.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG-BP solutions. · Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand master data requirements and translate them into functional designs. · Configure and customize MDG data models, workflows, business rules, validations, and user interfaces (UI modeling) for Business Partners. · Support integration with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other systems (via ALE, IDoc, or API-based interfaces). · Manage data governance processes, including data quality, validation, and approval workflows. · Collaborate with ABAP developers for enhancements, validations, and custom developments.
· Conduct workshops, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and end-user training. · Support cutover, migration, and post-go-live activities. · Ensure alignment with MDG best practices, data governance policies, and compliance standards. · Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for MDG-BP processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. · 5+ years of SAP functional experience, with at least 3 years in SAP MDG (preferably MDG-BP). · Strong understanding of SAP Business Partner (BP) concepts and their integration with Customer (KNA1) and Vendor (LFA1) objects. · Hands-on experience in: o MDG Data Modeling and Governance Framework o Business Rules Framework (BRF+), Data Replication Framework (DRF) o Workflow design and configuration o Data replication and integration between MDG and SAP/non-SAP systems · Familiarity with S/4HANA MDG and Central Governance vs Consolidation scenarios. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in MDG for Customer/Vendor, MDG Consolidation, or MDG on S/4HANA. · Knowledge of MDG-F, MDG-M modules. · SAP MDG certification is a plus. · Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery models. --
