I joined Accenture in February 2015 and am ecstatic to see what my future holds with the firm. I’m currently aligned to Digital Analytics and am happy to be a part of a growing area that’s in high demand. As a new analyst, I have a lot of enthusiasm, and my goal is to channel that enthusiasm to learn and grow with Accenture.
My favorite part about consulting at Accenture is that no two days are the same.
There are days where I’m doing training, and other days where I’m focusing on some business development work with members of Accenture’s leadership.
I’m currently staffed on a digital interactive project in the life sciences industry. Every Monday, I hop on a flight from Toronto to Philadelphia to spend four days with the client, and I return home to Toronto on Thursdays. The Accenture team is implementing a new technology for our client. My role focuses on project management and digital marketing. The project management side is fast-paced as I deal with stakeholders from many different countries. It’s a great way to understand a project at a high level. The digital marketing side is fascinating since it’s a growing area, and it’s nurtured by an innovative culture. Finally, on Fridays I work from home or at the local office networking with my peers.
On weekends, I love to connect with friends or travel home to visit my family.
I’m a huge fan of personal growth and live a very active lifestyle outside of the office.
One of my passions includes men’s fashion. I love suits. I was recently featured in GQ magazine as one of eight best dressed suit week readers. Prior to my job at Accenture, I sold high-end menswear. One notable client was a member of The Tragically Hip.
I’m very passionate about health and fitness. I play hockey and volleyball, and I used to run track. I try to go to the gym four times a week where you can find me crushing my workouts. I have experimented with bodybuilding, powerlifting and cross-functional fitness. I’m extremely conscious about nutrition, which goes quite well with my love of cooking.
A final passion worth noting is my love of music. I play the violin and used to compete internationally. I was previously the concertmaster of a youth orchestra and spent many summers playing my violin at weddings.
My AdviceMy biggest advice is to know who you are. Know your brand. Know your values. The rest is just having integrity.
