My role changes with the project I am working on. I usually work in the Utilities Industry in Canada or in the US. I concentrate on the optimization of our client’s processes through the implementation of new technologies.
I am currently traveling every week to my client’s city. I really like to start the day with some fresh air so I walk to the client’s office every day, if I can. Once at the office, I usually start with a touch point with my team members to define and prioritize our work. I then have calls with our offshore team who is working in India to support them with their tasks. My responsibilities require me to work closely with both the client and our development team to translate the business requirements into functional specifications and functional designs. I usually lead workshops with different stakeholders and then design solutions that will meet our client’s expectations. In the evening, I explore the client’s city and try out different restaurants with colleagues, or I work out and catch up on the latest Game of Thrones episode.
Travel is definitely a passion of mine, and I’m always trying to discover different cultures and landscapes across the world. I recently went on a three-week camping trip in Iceland where I saw the most amazing views I have ever seen in my entire life. As a French Canadian who works in the US, I am also having a lot of fun spending weekends in different US cities to do a little bit of exploring.
