Job Description

INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY strengthens clients’ ability to detect, prevent, and respond to infrastructure threats (networks, clouds, endpoints, mobile, and IoT). This includes cloud security, network architecture transformation, network security controls, modern secure remote access, endpoint detection & response.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for infrastructure security consulting practitioners include:

  • Performing analysis of network security needs that contribute to the design, integration, and installation of hardware and software;
  • Implementation of infrastructure security hardware and software with a focus on network segmentation and inspection of traffic;
  • Analysis, troubleshooting and development of solutions to network problems;
  • Administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems;
  • Lead a team of people to deliver client value through high quality project delivery and pre-sales activities;
  • Participate in infrastructure and application project teams providing consultation on information security designs;
  • Review and define requirements for information security solutions; 
  • Integration with corporate WAN, LAN and server architectures and other security programs;
  • Travel as required (can be up to 100% at times)

A professional at the manager level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility. 
  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture.
  • Play a leadership role in a key go to market pillar within the Infrastructure Security Practice
  • Work collaboratively with senior management to grow the capacity and capabilities of the Infrastructure Security Practice

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of security consulting experience;
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security design and operations, and network administration;
  • Must have a strong technical knowledge of network security controls relating to IPS/IDS systems, security monitoring, vulnerability management, network segmentation and firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet);
  • Minimum of 4 years hands on experience implementing firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet) for large Canadian or multi-national companies;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Platform Security (UNIX/Windows);
  • Minimum 1 year of network packet capture and interpretation experience;
  • Must be experienced leading projects; managing resources, timelines, ensuring quality and tracking budgets;
  • Have a deep intellectual capacity and relevant experience to develop creative and breakthrough solutions;
  • Possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to understand complex issues with the ability to quickly absorb information and deploy conceptual and creative problem solving;
  • Have a successful track record in sales origination with an entrepreneurial mind-set; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams to shape, sell, communicate, and implement security strategy engagements.
  • Demonstrate first class written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner.  Own and develop our offerings and assets.
  • Be a natural leader with the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships; skilled in gaining valuable insights through collaboration and communication.
  • Be experienced leading, mentoring and developing our people.
  • Possess drive, determination and optimism with proven ability to adapt and remove obstacles to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian;   
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian;
  • Have extensive experience in Microsoft Office product suite;

Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree 
  • Vendor certifications (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet);
  • Industry recognized Professional Security certification (e.g. CISSP)
  • Experience working for the Big 4 or Global SI is required
  • Knowledge of cyber defense vendors and product capabilities
  • In possession of, or able to qualify for, Canadian security clearance strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 80-100%
