You Are:

The Souring Specialist (level 9) will utilize their deep sourcing and category management experience in the area of Contingent Labor to help our customers drive tangible results.  In this capacity, you will work directly with Accenture as a customer with responsibilities including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, risk management, supplier performance management and continuous cost and performance improvement activities. You will develop and provide oversight for the execution of sourcing strategies that support each customer’s business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. You will utilize procurement sourcing functions and appropriately manage projects to exceed customer expectations. This position requires a combination of hands-on contract management, negotiation and project management skills. You will have substantial involvement in helping the Accenture procurement organization expand its involvement and control of contractor spend for both internal and client use.

The Work:

  • Represent all areas of the Accenture subcontractor channel:  Cx/Staff Augmentation Services, Subcontractor Services, Flex, Direct Sourcing, Independent Contractors, BDAs

  • Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts.  Work to understand account requirements (contractor skills needs, diversity requirements, ability to subtier, visa usage, cost reduction goals) and present fulfillment options to meet customer needs

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects including strategy development, RFx creation, execution, analysis and award recommendations, supplier negotiations and supplier contract execution

  • Present to and educate HR and client account teams on the IQN requisition process and competitive bidding, the use of preferred suppliers to drive lower cost and risk, and expectation setting on timelines for the end to end onboarding process (background checks, Client flowdowns, internal approvals, EID generation, laptop delivery)

  • Determine when to engage additional supplier(s) when preferred suppliers are not identifying the right talent at the right price  

  • Work closely with Cx Operations to help close any gaps; ensure the Cx schedules calls between Project and Suppliers to clarify requirements and ensure process is moving forward

  • Facilitate resolution on contractor management issues (ex: bait and switch; contractor wasn’t paid, client named on job posting, PO/payment issues, contractor requesting raise; etc.)

  • Ensure all larger issues reach closure and communicate outcome to account

  • Provide industry and supplier research, market intelligence and financial analyses to client accounts

  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives, ensuring that the sourcing team is supporting overall company direction and growth

Here’s What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontractor management delivering strategic sourcing, supplier/category management and compliance management services for internal or external clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management experience including the ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization

  • Strong ability to identify complex barriers to change and develop solutions to drive transformation

  • Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders or customers that have resulted in high customer satisfaction

  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills with a confident and compelling presentation style
