Job Description
- (Internal Title: Scheduling II)
- Providing scheduling services and assisting with planning for assigned projects
- Baselining program and project plans to identify, develop, and implement benchmarking data, for the measurement and analysis of variances and root causes
- Developing and maintaining the Master Project Schedule; planning, coordinating, and monitoring scheduling activities (both performance to date and planned schedule activities)
- Attending design and construction review meetings and contributing to the design and construction process, including timing, sequencing and staging of construct
- Performing critical path/what-if/variance analysis and earned value management
- Reporting schedule variances and recommending corrective action
- Implementing project interface management through schedule updates and reporting
- Developing, maintaining and evaluating the pre-construction schedule and supporting project management/construction team to review schedule submittals including Contract Baseline Schedule (CBS), Monthly Updated Schedule (MUS), Recovery Schedule, and Count-down Schedule
- Supporting the preparation of Group and Department reports
- Communicating with project management team and other staff, to ensure adherence to planning and scheduling policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Providing the Time Impact Analysis services for assigned projects
- Creating different scenarios and supporting claims analysis, in consultation with the Senior Planner and Scheduler
- Attending Time Impact Analysis meetings with the Construction team
- Implementing changes to project schedules through effective change management
- Implementing the effect of any changes to project schedules and comparing the changes against baseline
- Performing the schedule impact of changes (change orders/claims) during the change management process
- Continuously forecasting project schedules, tracking estimating and engineering deliverables, and evaluating change schedule impacts
- Supporting linkage between schedule and cost to facilitate budgeting for assigned projects
- Contributing to the preparation and analysis of cost/expenditure control through provision of supporting data from the Master Project Schedule Data
- Identifying schedule inconsistencies between base documentation and budget submission documents and supporting the project management team in the resolution
- Preparing cost loaded schedule on selected projects with data as provided by project management team
- Participating in the risk management process for assigned projects
- Attending Risk meetings and providing support in the identification of risks and opportunities
- Developing risk schedule for the Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis
- Updating the Master Project Schedule based on the Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis results

Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in planning and scheduling
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Licenses OR Certifications:
- Holding a recognized certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, or PSP is considered an asset
- Oracle Primavera P6 certificate is considered an asset
- Skills and Competencies:
- Effective skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel
- Competent in Primavera P6 Project Management software
- Working knowledge of Navisworks, Synchro, Power BI, and TILOS is an asset
- In-depth understanding of multi-discipline engineering and construction projects
- Must be willing to maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
- Equipped to work independently and as part of a team
