As a Banking Payments Senior Manager, you’ll be dedicated to help clients by playing the role of a partner who can work with the client team to design and deliver strategic solutions that achieve compliance, mitigates risks and seizes revenue growth opportunities. You’ll often be:

 

  • Leading business development activities including opportunity identification/qualification, proposal development/presentation, and commercial contract negotiation
  • Delivering successful Banking Payments engagements (sometimes multiple at once) addressing our clients’ business challenges, delivering lasting and distinctive outcomes and value around core payments, cards, digital innovation, Digital & Emerging Payments
  • Helping enable robotics to streamline processes and gain efficiencies throughout the payment lifecycle
  • Identified ways that Payments As A Service can both increase operational flexibility, reduce costs, and roadmap for implementation
  • Comparative analysis of solution alternatives available to bank given the requirements; e.g. Implementation of a Payments Engine vs. Transformation to a Payment Services Hub
  • Replacing legacy payment systems and operations, to help financial institutions adapt to changes in the market more quickly and decisively, and at lower cost
  • Renewing Payments by development of a new strategy, operating model design and architecture and also by helping banks in executing the strategy
  • Enabling real time payments and developing real time payments architecture
  • Designing strategies for clients to comply with regulations. Guiding the clients in achieving competitive differentiation by reinventing their payment processes
  • Helping banks in extending their value chain by identifying new products
  • Identification of issues and inefficiencies in current IT landscape related to payments
  • Driving Re-platforming Projects for increasing efficiency, stability and agility to support
  • Solving complex problems, bringing structure and rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques; acting and taking decisions with little management oversight. Making, building and sustaining trusted senior client relationships
  • Developing Business Cases, Project Road Maps and Operating Models to implement complex solutions and systems for financial institutions
  • Running Accenture’s business (including cost management, contract management, …) with discipline, rigor and integrity
  • Understanding and implementing the use of Open Banking / Open APIs
  • Taking accountability for developing the Financial Service Banking practice and build Accenture’s innovative banking offerings, assets and capabilities
  • Developing and managing high performing multidisciplinary teams, leading by example, actively mentoring others and contributing to performance management and recruitment activities. Advise upon, lead and work on high impact activities within the systems development lifecycle, and provide advisory work for the IT function itself

Qualifications

You will have experience with some/all of the following:

  • Business product, operations or project management experience implementing new payment products,  solutions and / or redesigning processes, in some of the following areas:
    • Core Payments including Retail and Corporate payments—particularly with ACH, Wires, EFT, SWIFT, payment messaging
    • Digital Innovation
    • Mobile Payments
    • Payments Re-platforming
    • Real Time Payments and Real Time Payment Architectures
    • Open Banking/Open APIs
  • Designing, operating or implementing core payment banking platforms such as ACH, Wires, EFT, payment messaging, SWIFT, H2H, EDI; Experience in designing, operating, or implementing vendor payment platforms such as OPF (Clear2Pay/FIS), Global Pay Plus (Fundtech/D+H), MTS/UP (ACI), or other payment system/hub vendors
  • Refreshing Payments strategies
  • Achieving operational efficiency with effective compliance and risk functions
  • Managing or creating project deliverables in a consulting environment
  • Replacing legacy payment systems and operations
  • Understanding of end to end payments lifecycle - - Payment strategy and operating models, Payment architecture; Core payment re-platforming and transformation; Payment testing
  • Knowledge of business architecture: Solution planning, Requirements definition, Analysis, Functional Design
