Job Description

Risk Process Excellence professionals help firms to follow a structured approach to managing risks across the organization by using an Enterprise risk management framework, build deep expertise in managing specific risks like Credit, Market, Operational, Supply Chain, Sustainability and Technology risks; integrate the risk and finance capabilities by creating common processes, systems re-using data sources; create and disseminate a risk culture throughout the firm.

 

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

 

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management, within the Financial Services Industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing Risk/Compliance Assessments and Diagnostics within the Financial Services Industry such as in Banking, and/or Capital Markets Industries
  • Minimum of 3 years of risk measurement, analytics and reporting experience within Quantification and validation of Basel parameters, i.e., PDs, LGDs and EAD, Economic and Regulatory Capital calculation
  • Demonstrated experience with credit/market risk type models (e.g., Standard Initial Margin Model, ES/SES/IMCC, CVA Framework, DRC/IRC, ALLL, PD/LGD, Roll Rate, VAR, SVAR, etc
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within a Management Consulting firm in Risk Consulting.
  • Minimum of a Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline such as: Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or other quantitative discipline Financial Risk Manager (FRM Designation)
  • Risk regulatory trends, principles, and practices (e.g., FRTB, Initial Margin, LIBOR Reform, Counterparty Credit Risk, Risk Weight Assets, Capital Reporting.), including any combination of the following: back testing, stress testing, sensitivity testing, benchmarking, capital calculations, reporting standards, etc.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data management experience (e.g., extracting, aggregating and structuring large volumes of data, etc.) in the context of analytics 
  • Strong understanding of front and back office operations desirable
  • Industry experience in Market Risk of a universal bank

  • Demonstrated team management and leadership skills; desire to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment and structured decision-making
  • Demonstrated leadership and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments and/or responsibilities
  • Highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, and demanding team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment and structured decision-making
