Job Description:
The Manager is responsible for driving thought leadership within the data science realm, delivery of data science projects, support of the technical sales process, and the growth of our junior team members. You’ll work on the most complex data science problems while working with the brightest minds across the globe within Accenture. We’re looking for not just the brightest but also the most creative minds out there to join us in our journey in transforming our clients into the NEW.

The key responsibilities include:
•Day-to-day lead on projects driving data science-led outcomes with the clients
•Formulate the business question with our clients and our Accenture subject matter advisors 
•Design & develop data science-led solutions with the project team using statistical and database software
•Develop actionable insights in production systems and work with the business and our subject matter advisors to devise a plan of actions
•Act as the subject matter expert for anything statistics-based (from shallow learning methods to deep learning and reinforcement learning)
•Advise on data science required architectures for traditional, real-time, or high GPU intensive data science projects
•Adapt to existing methods and procedures from the client and proposing alternative solutions 
•Support technical sales process for data science pursuits 
•Build data science assets and thought leadership for new innovative data science methods
•Lead a group of individuals project-to-project from mainly our data science group, but also individuals from data engineering, big data, strategy, and data visualization
•Act as the career counsellor for our junior data science individuals
•Educate Client Account Leads on the strategic initiatives led by Applied Intelligence  
Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required in related field; strong preference for fields of study in mathematics, computer science, data science, statistics, economics
•Minimum of 5 years of increasing experience in management consulting or industry 
•Minimum of 3+ years delivery experience in advanced modeling environment in production
•Strong understanding of statistical concepts and predictive modeling. (e.g., AI neural networks, multi-scalar dimensional models, logistic regression techniques, machine-based learning, etc.) 
•Minimum of 3+ years of experience with advanced statistical tools which may include at least two applications from R, Python, Scala, SAS, Spark, SPSS
•Minimum of 3+ years of SQL and database experience
•Contributions to research communities and/or efforts, including publishing papers in machine learning venues (e.g: JMLR, ICLR, NIPS, ICML, ACL and CVPR)
•Ability to convey complex concepts, technology, and business value propositions to senior stakeholders, including presenting to small and large audiences
Travel as required: up to 80%

Preferred Skills:
•Masters or PhD (Statistics or Mathematics or Computer Science or other quantitative disciplines) or MBA 
•First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g. NIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICML, ICCV, and ACL)
•Strong publication record 
•Experience in Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Mining or Machine Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence).
•Specific working and conceptual knowledge with cloud (e.g. AWS, Google, Azure, etc.) and devOps (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.) technologies 
•Experience with large data sets and distributed computing
•Experience with evolving approaches and technologies such as Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Systems, and other corresponding contributions to advancing analytics maturity for clients
•Experience with conducting data science in production-systems
•Strong working and conceptual knowledge translating business requirements into quick prototypes integration services (from data ingestion to storage to processing/analysis to servicing)
