Job Description
Oracle professionals design, implement and deploy Oracle solutions to achieve defined business goals. Maintain skills in Oracle applications process design and configuration; Oracle application design, development, integration, testing and deployment; and Oracle application technical architecture.
Technology-Engineered Systems professionals define Oracle technical architecture (IT hardware/infrastructure) within the context of the client's broader technology infrastructure. Develops and executes strategies for integrating Oracle solutions across client organizations.
A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases within an Oracle Exadata architecture.  
  • The development and design of Exadata database strategies, system monitoring and improving Exadata database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements.
  • May also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database within Exadata.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Oracle Engineering Systems (Exadata, Exalogic, SuperCluster, etc.) including areas such as:
    • Oracle Engineered Systems Architecture
    • Setup and Configuration
    • Migration to Engineered Systems and Consolidation
    • High Availability, MAA and DR: Real Application Clusters & Active Data Guard
    • Diagnosability, Manageability and Operations
  • Minimum 10 years of Core DBA Skills including areas such as:
    • Database Architecture Design and PL/SQL
    • Database Installation, Configuration and Patching including RAC
    • Database Performance Tuning
    • Data Replication, Database Security, Encryption, Compression  and Data Masking/Redaction
    • Backup and Recovery, DataPump and SQL*Loader
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control & Cloud Control
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience as an Oracle Database Architect with a strong understanding of infrastructure
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with Oracle databases including hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of other Database brands is a plus: SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase
  • Very large databases and in-memory database solutions
  • Oracle OCP or OCM certification
  • Oracle Streams and GoldenGate
  • Minimum 2 years of core Oracle database skills with EBS experience
