Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.  

 

Job Description:

 

Professionals in our Corporate Functions run and manage Accenture’s internal operations and all activities across our business, from finance, HR and legal to workplace management, operations and marketing and communications. They are the engine that powers Accenture, enabling us to provide the capabilities and expertise that clients need to help them become high-performance businesses.

 

Job Summary:


Review, draft and negotiate several types of contractual agreements, including: master services agreements, including outsourcing and consulting agreements, and , statements of work, subcontract agreements , asset and software licensing agreements, third party asset & service agreements,  software as a service agreements, and agreements focusing on AI, cloud, mobility,  analytics and security    etc.   Assist more senior level   counsel in managing more complex transactions  within a fast-moving corporate environment

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize with company executives prior to client negotiations
  • Structure client transactions to be most advantageous from a contracting and business perspective
  • Advise and consult company professionals based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity
  • Participate in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues
  • Educate company professionals in regard to contracting and risk management issues
  • Represent the company’s interests and interface directly with client negotiating teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • JD or Bachelors of Law degree (based on geography) with tenure in good standing with one state or provincial bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of contracting experience in an appropriate fast-paced corporate environment is essential. Experience in negotiating technology or outsourcing agreements, including consulting, systems integration, software licensing, SaaS or business process outsourcing agreements is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience resolving, drafting for, and negotiating, complex legal and business issues
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of complex transactions
  • Experience in independently managing and drafting transactional documents and correspondence
  • Understanding of intellectual property and privacy issues as they apply to consulting, systems integration, digital and outsourcing transactions
  • Understand basic principles of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Management
  • Strong technology acumen is an asset

Work Requirements:  Travel may be required
