Job Description

The Release Management Associate Director aligns technology with business strategy and goals they work directly with the client gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology best practice business changes. They are sought out as experts internally and externally for their deep functional or industry expertise, domain knowledge, or offering expertise. They enhance Accenture's marketplace reputation.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Contributes to assets/offerings and thought leadership; designs best-practice technology solutions
  • Uses expertise to develop/support operable and cost effective solutions, review solution blueprints, estimates, conceptual designs, and/or other deliverables
  • Actively contributes to Accenture assets/offerings, points of view, Knowledge Exchange, discussion boards, etc.
  • Participates in external organizations related to functional, technical or industry area of expertise in order to enhance Accenture's brand recognition
  • Participates in projects/programs focused on delivering agreed business outcomes for our clients and/or Accenture
  • Provides/implements the strategy to translate business requirements into technology solutions
  • Incorporates Industry, Function, and/or Business expertise into recommended solutions
  • Ensures technology business changes represent business requirements
  • Leads programs/projects focused on delivering agreed business outcomes for our clients and/or Accenture
  • Partners with clients to understand the dynamic of value creation for the business solution
Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading large scale integrated release management programs
  • Experience working with clients and 3rd parties to develop an integrated release management plan
  • Demonstrated ability to highlight overall program risks and issues
  • Experience with managing Data programs and/or SAP delivery programs would be an asset
  • Ability to lead various teams (Accenture, client, 3rd party) and drive planning activities.
  • Strong presentation skills and power-point skills

  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
