 Software Engineering professionals work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.
 
Job Summary:
Test Automation Manager will be responsible for managing the quality assurance and testing of all application systems, their data and their performance as it pertains to their delivery team. This may result in the interaction and managing of internal QA resources. Candidate will be responsible for all planning, monitoring, and managing of the application & data test initiatives, as well as strategy and approach from initiation through completion for the specified delivery team.
This will include any web service, batch, UI or integration components and any legacy systems that require alterations or integration as part of the scope of the specified delivery team. The scope of work may include all associated functional (manual and automated), performance and end-to-end test support.  Candidate needs to have strong skills in quality assurance planning and execution & integrated testing support activities. Candidate needs to have strong organization, communication and management negotiations skills.
 

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
  • Estimate effort for delivery of testing services based on given scope
  • Design and manage application test strategy and test approach
  • Prepare, plan and conduct cross team meetings and internal status update meetings
  • Develop and maintain project work plan(s), dependencies, issues/risks logs and other deliverables as necessary
  • Maintain a strategic and tactical focus; set clear objectives and defined deliverables
  • Understand application workflow and work with business analysts, application team members, and both internal and external QA Analysts to integrate, regression test, and manage all tasks associated with quality assurance of all identified systems
  • Understand of all phases of the project and assume responsibility for testing deliverables, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Understand data structures from various systems, support specified application’s impact both to and from other application teams in a test setting
  • Lead a cross-functional, onshore/offshore team model while motivating team members to their highest potential
  • Interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units
  • Utilize effectively external vendors and internal resources
Delivery
  • Monitor and resolve any service escalations that are not managed by leads
  • Monitor quality operating procedures, standards, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide direction/guidance for service standards and all relevant documentation as per the environment Methods required for the particular quality stage
  • Monitor automation KPIs and transformation agenda. Defines and executes strategic initiatives to realize automation objectives.
  • Measure, monitor, and address engagement service cost, quality, and customer satisfaction gaps and issues, risks, and concerns

Qualifications:
Education
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering including planning, script development & maintenance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development in an Agile environment
 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar degree
Automation & Technology Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in two or more of the following testing toolsets/frameworks:
    • HP UFT, Rational Test Workbench, Borland Silk Test, MS Visual Studio
    • CA Application Test, Rational Integration Tester, Parasoft SOATest; SmartBear Ready!API
    • Eclipse, IntelliJ
    • Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Protractor
    • Jasmine, Mocha, Chai
    • TDD: using jUnit, TestNG, other
    • BDD: using Cucumber/Gherkin, Geb/Spock, other.
    • SoapUI, SoapUI Pro, Postman, other
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in two or more of the following testing toolsets/frameworks:

    • Java / J2EE
    • Groovy, Python, Ruby
    • JavaScript
    • XML, JSON
    • C#, VB.NET, VBscript
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery, including two or more of the following build/deploy/version control tools:
    • Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, Maven, other
    • Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Stash, other
    • uBuild/uDeploy, UrbanCode, other
    • Grunt, Gradle, Gulp
    • MS TFS
Demonstrated Knowledge
  • Demonstrated Experience in 4 or more of the below:
    • Understanding of application architectures
    • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps functional and technical implementations and run operations
    • Experience using TDD or BDD
    • Experience with service virtualization with tooling such as CA Service Virtualization, Rational Integration Server, Parasoft Virtualize or SmartBear Ready!API
    • Experience with common source control solutions such as GIT
    • Experience with Open Source CI/CD configuration solutions such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
Managerial Knowhow
  • Ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to interact with internal management team and external client contacts using strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
