Our Resources operating group serves the chemicals, energy, forest products and building materials, metals, mining, and utilities industries. With market conditions driving energy companies to seek new ways of creating value for shareholders, deregulation and climate change fundamentally reforming the utilities industry and yielding cross-border opportunities, and an intensive focus on productivity and portfolio management in the chemicals industry, we are working with clients to create innovative solutions that are designed to help them differentiate themselves in the marketplace and gain competitive advantage.
Supply Chain and Operations professionals house individuals who help clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing and fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.
 Service Strategy and Operations professionals design and build operations solutions for aftermarket (or maintenance) businesses to improve customer service, drive incremental revenues, reduce operating costs and increase asset turnover.

 

Basic Qualifications
 
  • 3+ years of resource industry related experiences (Oil and Gas, Refining, Chemicals, Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution)
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Proven ability to lead strategy-to-execution management consulting projects
  • COUPA experience preferred
  • Deep Functional experience in at least two or more of the following disciplines:
  • Demand and Supply Planning
  • Transportation Management
  • Transportation Sourcing
  • Sourcing & Procurement
  • Fulfillment Strategy
  • Logistics Execution (Rail, Marine, and / or Truck)
  • Network/Flow Path Optimization
 
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably an Engineering, Informational Science, or Business background
 
 
Previous external Consulting preferred

  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility
  • Manages medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
