Software Engineering professionals work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.


The Application Development Assoc Manager develops and designs technologies that improve the way our clients and the world works. Supporting the core of Accenture's Technology business, they are eager to learn and use that curiosity to solve Technology problems through developing, designing, and configuring software products or systems that enable client strategies. They use their versatility and experience to design technology solutions that meet client requirements from analysis to implementation.


Job Description


DevOps professionals experience in providing the people, processes, and tools to Accenture´s systems Integration (SI) and Application Outsourcing (AO) projects. This includes setting up and managing the operation of project development and test environments as well as the software configuration management processes for the entire application development lifecycle.


A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Uses own judgment to determines optimal solution to recommend.
    Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or teams leads. Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance.
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams.
    Manages medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.




 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks
  • Minimum 4 years of Information Technology Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Object Oriented Programming
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on experience with complex build, deployment and/or test systems with specifics skills in: The Linux Platform including command line operations and bash scripting, At least two of the following: Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Chef, Sonar, Splunk, Selenium, Zenoss, New Relic, Nagios, Source control management systems (either Subversion or Git/Git Hub) and code branching merging strategies, Artifact repositories (e.g. Nexus, Artifactory, Doctor Registry),Build automation tools (e.g. Cruisecontrol, Hudson, Jenkins)
  • It is currently our objective to assign our people to work near where they live. However, given the nature of our business and our need to serve our clients our employees must be available to travel when needed.
 Preferred Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Familiarity with:
    • JEE application development and JEE application servers (e.g. JBoss)
    • build-time dependency management (e.g. Maven, Ivy)
    • unit testing and code-coverage tools (e.g. Sonar)
    • functional or performance test automation techniques and tools
    • database change automation tools (e.g. Liquibase, Flyway)
    • release workflow automation (e.g. UrbanCode, Release Automation)
    • design patterns using OS container virtualization (e.g. Docker, Jails)  and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    • performance and log analytics platforms (e.g. New Relic, Zenoss, Nagios, Splunk, ELK)
