Vasco Simões is managing director for Latin America within Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on assisting companies and governments in the development of business strategies, operating models, digital strategies and innovations, cost management transformations, customer strategies, human capital management initiatives and large-scale business transformations.
Following a seven-year career as a chemical engineer, Vasco joined Accenture in 1994. For the next 20 years, he advised global clients in multiple industries across 10 countries and three continents. During that time, he also was instrumental in developing Accenture’s next generation of leaders, and in building the Accenture Strategy practice in Brazil. Vasco recently rejoined Accenture after serving on the board of a family company.
Vasco has a degree in chemical engineering from the Mauá University (Escola de Engenharia Mauá) and a master’s in business administration from the IESE in Spain. He is based in São Paolo, Brazil.
