The SAP Maintenance Functional Consultant for Finance and Accounting is responsible for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing SAP processes to ensure seamless financial operations. The position demands a deep understanding of SAP FI/CO functionalities, financial processes, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills..
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for SAP FI and CO modules, addressing and resolving incidents and service requests.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with Level, Level 3 support and cross-functional teams to ensure resolution of complex issues and successful project delivery
- Configure and customize SAP FI/CO modules to meet business requirements.
- Develop functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
- Work with ABAP developers to implement custom solutions
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the BW environment.
- Optimize data loads and query performance.
- Analyze current financial and controlling processes and recommend improvements.
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, data models, processes, and procedures
- Participate in SAP implementation and upgrade projects, providing expertise in billing and settlement processes.
- Conduct testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive financial data within the SAP system
Qualifications
Technology Stack Used & Required Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP FI/CO, with at least 2 years in a support or maintenance role.
- Proficiency in SAP FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing) configuration and customization.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Experience with integration points between SAP FI/CO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).
- Basic knowledge of ABAP programming and debugging
