The SAP Maintenance Functional Level 2 Consultant for BW Reporting is responsible for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) reporting solutions. This role involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and developing BW reports to meet business requirements. The position demands a deep understanding of SAP BW functionalities, data modeling, and reporting tools, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support for SAP BW reporting, addressing and resolving incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor and ensure the performance and availability of BW reports.
  • Collaborate with Level, Level 3 support and cross-functional teams to ensure resolution of complex issues and successful project delivery
  • Configure and develop SAP BW data models, including InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DSOs, MultiProviders, and CompositeProviders.
  • Develop and maintain BW queries and reports using tools such as BEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office, and SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Work with ABAP developers to implement custom enhancements
  • Design and implement ETL processes from various source systems into SAP BW.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the BW environment.
  • Optimize data loads and query performance.
  • Analyze current BW reporting processes and recommend improvements.
  • Implement best practices and standard procedures to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of BW configurations, data models, and reporting processes.
  • Participate in SAP implementation and upgrade projects, providing expertise in billing and settlement processes.
  • Conduct testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the BW system

Qualifications

Technology Stack Used & Required Knowledge:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP BW, with at least 2 years in a support or maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in SAP BW data modeling and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW on HANA.
  • Familiarity with BW reporting tools such as BEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP programming and debugging
