Your Job
Within our Industry X group in Belgium we are looking for an experienced functional manager in the area of Manufacturing Execution Systems, to support our clients in their digital transformation journey. We partner with international clients across all industries, including 91 of the Fortune Global 100 and almost all of the Belux AEX-listed companies. Your role is to support delivery of MES projects and guide the solution design, setup the blueprint, infrastructure design, data model and provide valuable input to other team members in support of the project completion. You will need to work together with offshore teams to coordinate the project activities, test prototypes, showcase to business stakeholders and bring the solutions successfully live to a production environment.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
You have a master's degree in a relevant study domain (Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Management, Business Economics, etc)
Strong knowledge of MES tools such as Siemens, Schneider, Dassault Systèmes, AVEVA MES, etc.
Technical understanding on MES processes such as production scheduling & planning, process monitoring & control, quality management, inventory and materials management, performance analysis & reporting, labor management.
Understanding of integrations with other ERP systems.
You have been working in team context on defining solution outlines, configurations, functional & technical designs and delivering relevant RICEFW items and have experience on estimating these activites for commercial delivery
Background in working at at least one end-to-end project implementation in the field of MES
Good understanding of project methodologies like waterfall and agile and working in international teams. Experience with offshore teams is a plus
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus

What are your main responsibilities?
Analysis of needs and participation in pre-sales phases
Conduct comprehensive assessments of current manufacturing processes and systems.
Perform gap analysis to determine alignment with industry best practices and client requirements.
Advise on technology trends and innovations in MES and manufacturing.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders on MES initiatives.
Design high-level MES solutions that integrate with existing enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, etc.).
Develop architectural blueprints and technical specifications for MES implementations.
Plan, schedule, and manage MES implementation projects from initiation to completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and quality control.
Monitoring of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) implementation projects
Estimation and management of costs, budgets and schedules
Coordination and organization of the different phases of the project
Delegation and supervision of missions and deliverables
Support for production launches

Your background
University Master’s degree in engineering and/or technology with a strong affinity for Supply Chain Management or Process Engineering
5 - 10 years of relevant industry experience
Experienced in working in the MES space
Willingness to travel to (international) client sites (in compliance with up-to-date travel policies)
