Your Job
Within our Industry X group in Belgium, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect in the supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering domain, to support our clients in their digital transformation journey. We partner with international clients across all industries, including 91 of the Fortune Global 100 and almost all of the Belux AEX-listed companies. Your role is to support delivery of both strategic assessment and system implementation projects and guide the solution design, setup the blueprint, infrastructure design, data model and provide valuable input to other team members in support of the project completion. You will need to work together with offshore teams to coordinate the project activities, test prototypes, showcase to business stakeholders and bring the solutions successfully live to a production environment. You support our clients' digital transformation by reinventing products and services, from design and engineering to manufacturing and distribution, in order to accelerate their operational efficiency and growth.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
You have a master's degree in a relevant study domain (Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Management, Business Economics, etc)
Strong knowledge on integrating IT systems with OT environments, ensuring seamless communication between enterprise IT infrastructure and industrial control systems.
Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies, including the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), smart factories, and digital twins.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in industrial contexts, including edge computing and IoT.
Ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure IT/OT solutions, including system architecture diagrams, integration workflows, and technical specifications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Background in working at at least one end-to-end project implementation in the field of IT/OT
Good understanding of project methodologies like waterfall and agile and working in international teams. Experience with offshore teams is a plus
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
What are your main responsibilities?
Analysis of needs and participation in pre-sales phases
Perform gap analysis to determine alignment with industry best practices and client requirements.
Advise on technology trends and innovations in the IT/OT area.
Design integrated IT/OT solutions that align with business objectives, operational requirements, and existing enterprise systems.
Develop detailed architecture diagrams, integration workflows, and technical specifications.
Design and implement robust network architectures tailored to industrial environments.
Implement data collection, processing, and analytics frameworks to derive actionable insights from industrial data.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders on IT/OT initiatives.
Plan, schedule, and manage both strategic assessments and implementation projects from initiation to completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and quality control.
Estimation and management of costs, budgets and schedules
Coordination and organization of the different phases of the project
Delegation and supervision of missions and deliverables
Support for production launches

Your background
Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5 - 10 years of relevant industry experience, focused on solution architecture and systems integration.
Knowledge of manufacturing and production systems, including ERP systems and industrial automation.
Willingness to travel to (international) client sites (in compliance with up-to-date travel policies)
