According to IDC analysis and buyer perceptions, Accenture is positioned as a “Leader” in providing U.S. federal agencies with cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).
This IDC MarketScape report provides a vendor assessment of the 2014 market for the U.S. government IaaS cloud services market through the IDC MarketScape model. The report states that “Using a ‘brokered services’ approach, Accenture provides government organizations the ability to build out cloud from legacy IT infrastructure systems and integrate with pre-approved, pre-certified public and private cloud providers and provision with multiple deployment options based on recognized industry infrastructures, platforms and services.”
The IDC MarketScape’s evaluation is based on a comprehensive framework and set of parameters expected to be most conducive to success in providing IaaS cloud services for U.S. federal entities. The evaluation also included the perception of cloud professional services buyers regarding the key characteristics and capabilities of firms.
