A volatile commodity market continues to push mining players forward on their quest for a sustainable and profitable future. Compounded by evolving global demands, new geographies and policy changes, mining companies are placing their bets on technology to enhance capital and operational effectiveness and remain competitive. Given today’s dynamic industrial context, the future of mining must be digital. But what exactly does “future mining” look like? And what are the key building blocks that companies need to put in place to achieve this vision?
On February 14 and 15, the Global Mining Standards and Guidelines Group (GMSG) will host its first event in Asia. To be held at the Accenture Internet of Things (IoT) Center of Excellence in Singapore, the two-day forum will provide participants with a complete strategic overview of future mining, better align working groups and projects with Asian mining industry priorities and increase global collaboration on strategic projects.
Key stakeholders from across Asia’s mining sector will be immersed in a high touch environment—the IoT Center—and exposed to case studies and thought leadership through break-out groups, demonstrations and panel sessions, to gain a robust understanding of future mining.
Mining experts will work with participants to define future mining, identify requirements to achieve this vision and map the route forward.
