Prudential Corp. Asia (PCA) is a leading life insurer in Asia with operations in 13 markets and more than 400,000 agents and employees. When it decided it needed to update and improve its human relations function, it turned to Accenture.
With its continued growth in Asia, PCA decided to design a new model powered by a robust technology solution to attract, retain and develop its people more effectively.
In 2013, Accenture worked with PCA and its solution partner Workday to implement core HR functions and quickly deliver with improved processes and tools to the HR teams.
The design, implementation and delivery had to be flexible enough to accommodate the varying scale of PCA’s businesses, which ranged from entities with fewer than 20 people to those with more than 1,500.
Drawing on its experience and skills in HR, Accenture provided overall project management support, including:
Planning, analyzing, designing, configuring, testing and deploying core HR functions and interfaces.
Redesigning and rationalizing more than 50 core HR processes.
Proposing and implementing a staggered, multi-country approach that allowed the pilot to be deployed within six months.
Successfully deploying the platform to 21 business units and more than 10,000 employees across 10 countries within 14 months.
