Louise May is managing director of Accenture's Health and Public Service business in Australia. She leads a team of dedicated professionals who assist education and human services agencies in Australia and New Zealand. This includes projects and initiatives that focus on enterprise transformation, combining technology acceleration, process improvement and strategic change management to deliver improved staff and customer experiences and better outcomes.
In a career dedicated to public service, Louise has worked across a number of areas in government, including Defense, Immigration, Licensing, Human Services and Education. She has brought her background in change management to her work in a number of project and program management roles in large government transformations. Her success invariably includes working with clients and teams to build commitment and buy-in to the transformation strategy, and to mobilise the team to execute on that vision.
Louise's leading consulting skills include business transformation, business process improvement, and program management. She has also recently assumed the role of Corporate Citizenship Council member for Australia and New Zealand with global and ANZ responsibilities relating to Corporate Citizenship.
After entering the field with a B.Sc. (Hon) in Statistics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Melbourne, Louise dedicated her career to the opportunity to make a positive contribution to society. She notes that education is a great enabler, and human services provides protection and support for people who most need it. Louise lives in Sydney and spends her time with her husband and children and their dog, cooking, reading and doing yoga, and working with local bush regeneration groups, making a further contribution to protecting the local environment.
