Jimmy Harris is global technology officer for Accenture’s Health & Public Service operating group. Harris is responsible for developing and implementing industry specific technology strategies and innovation. Previously, he was growth and strategy lead for Accenture's technology business and was also managing director of Accenture Cloud Services, working to identify, develop and implement cloud computing solutions for clients and to enhance Accenture's market position in cloud services.
Since joining Accenture in 1980, Harris has held a variety of leadership positions, working in the consulting and outsourcing arenas. He was managing director of both Accenture Customer Contact Services and Infrastructure Outsourcing Services. He had global responsibility for organizations which set the standards for and enabled sales, transition and delivery for customer contact and infrastructure outsourcing contracts. This included the management of contact center and infrastructure outsourcing operations centers around the world. Earlier in his career, Harris held the position of global managing partner for technology outsourcing in Accenture’s Financial Services practice with overall responsibility for developing outsourcing capabilities, including applications and infrastructure outsourcing.
Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Virginia. He is based in Washington, D.C.
