Hiroshi Makioka is the managing director leading Accenture Strategy in Japan. His role focuses on assisting companies and governments in the development of business strategies, operating models, digital strategies and innovation, cost management transformations, customer strategies, human capital management initiatives, large-scale business transformation and organizational change.
Mr. Makioka joined Accenture in 2014, after spending 16 years with Bain & Company. At Accenture Strategy Japan, Mr. Makioka led the Consumer Goods & Services and Retail practices, as well as the Talent & Organization function, serving important clients. As an experienced strategy practitioner, Mr. Makioka's expertise covers corporate transformation, global operating model, organization design and change management across multiple industries. Most recently, he has been leading the promulgation of the Circular Economy through CEO workshops, articles and books, and joint study groups with key client companies.
Mr. Makioka has a master's degree in management science from Sloan School of MIT, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo. He is based in Tokyo.
