Greg Carroll is the Managing Director for Accenture’s Financial Services business in Australia and New Zealand. In his role, Greg is responsible for all aspects of Accenture’s Financial Services business, from ‘go to market’ strategy, operational control, client relationship management and some aspects of delivery programmes, working closely with the Relationship Leads at each of Accenture’s clients. Financial Services includes Banking, Insurance and Retirement Savings, and Capital Markets. Based on his Banking experience, Greg provides some support to our Banking business in key Asia Pacific markets, working with our client teams.
Greg has worked for Accenture in Financial Services for over 25 years and has extensive experience gained from clients in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, UK and North America. His Australian clients have included the four major Banks, and a number of other local and international financial services organisations, with roles including: business development, business strategy and operating model definition, change management, and leadership of large, complex delivery and transformation programmes.
Across Financial Services, Greg has deep expertise in a number of areas including: sales force transformation, Customer Relationship Management (including distribution, lending, straight through processing), Core Systems Development and Maintenance, and programme delivery. Recently he has focussed on large scale IT onshore/off-shore development, the development of IT sourcing strategies and Application Outsourcing Services.
Greg’s most recent major engagement was leading the Accenture work with the Core Banking Modernisation Programme (>$1B programme) with Commonwealth Bank of Australia to transform banking. This completed in 2013 and Greg now focusses across the Client portfolio.
Greg has a first class honours degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of NSW. He is married with two children and lives in Sydney.
