As a recruiter, what do you look for in potential applicants?
When interviewing candidates I’m very interested to hear about their career path until date, and what their future plans are. I’m also looking to understand if the individual has a willingness to learn new things.
What is your go-to interview question? Why do you ask this?
I always ask what the candidates’ career goals are. This is to understand if their goals are aligned to the role or not, and what growth opportunity the individual will have in our organisation.
What is the strongest piece of advice you can give a potential applicant?
Make your resume very clear in terms of what work experience you have, and have the dates in order so that it is easy for the recruiter to review it.
