The Job Description:
At Fjord, product design plays a critical role in our process. Our product designers are a diverse team of empathetic and strategic designers who also possess the technical skills to contribute across the entire design process. Product designers span from research and problem definition through to design system development and visual design and further into product optimisation and experimentation. While our product designers have strong skills in both User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, they collaborate where needed with more specialised design researchers, service designers and visual designers to make a positive impact for our clients and the world by creating products and services that people love.
As a Product Design, you’ll conceptualise, prototype and design innovative screen-based digital experiences that effectively bring to life the values of a brand, deliver on user and business requirements and drive results.

A professional in this position, at this level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Help identify key customer problem, ideation, testing and designing potential solutions, whilst championing the voice of the customer / user throughout the design process
Envision, design and prototype how the digital experience and interactions translate across multiple devices, from conceptual to detailed design fidelity
Uses a variety of data sources (qualitative and quantative) to inform the design and improvement of digital products and experiences
Plans and run user and usability testing and uses these insights to guide the improvement and evolution of digital products.
Define, maintain and evolve design systems to guide the evolution of a digital product across its entire lifecycle.
Effectively and compellingly presents design artifacts, rationale and their guiding experience principles.
Works with product and engineering to identify user, brand, business and technical drivers to define digital product experience requirements.
Works alongside product and engineering in delivery cycles, to translate user stories and requirements into shippable digital experiences that delight and deliver user and business outcomes, generating detailed wireframes, task flows and user interface solutions
Plan, oversee and finalize all detailed digital product design deliverables (e.g. user flows and journey maps, wireframes, user interface and interactive prototypes, design systems, digital product specifications etc.)
Be a Fjord ambassador, attending and helping to plan studio and community events, workshops, and conferences.
Here’s what you need:
3+ years’ experience of Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design across varied users, business problems, and devices
3+ years of working and conceptual knowledge of cross platform design within the service experience e.g. mobile/apps, responsive web
2+ years experience creating, using, and evolving design systems in practice
2+ years creating experience maps, user journeys, interaction models, user flows, and wireframes
Advanced skills and experience in Sketch, InVision and Figma, and other rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes
*Candidate must possess a digital design portfolio.
Bonus points if you:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Knowledge of and experience with applying user-centered design processes.
Understanding of areas of specialization within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to Design Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Service Design and Content Design
Experience working in cross-functional product development squads
