THE WORK:
Process Control Networks (LAN/WAN/Security/Wireless) delivered from our WA office.
The position involves:
designing, staging, testing and supporting industrial network projects during the design, build, commissioning and operations phase.
provide consulting services for clients.
Deliver high quality technical work to successfully execute changes in technology infrastructure.
Qualifications
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
3+ years experience with Industrial Network Engineering
Practical experience in the configuration, development, operations and implementation of any of the following hardware products in the Industrial / Mining / Resource industry would be desirable:
Cisco (required), Ruggedcom, Hirschmann / Connexium, Moxa, Stratix
Technical Requirements (Experience in one or more the following):
TCP/IP Process Control Systems Networks (Modbus TCP and Ethernet/IP protocols),
Layer 2 and 3 switching and routing,
Firewalls / ISE,
redundant communications (RSTP, MRP and REP),
Network Architecture Design,
Wireless networking routing & switching,
NMS (Network Management Systems),
QoS,
Software Defined Networking (SDN),
LTE Networking,
CCTV and VoIP,
Hyper-V / VMware Technologies
Dell Architectures
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Understanding in the application of Australian Standards and industry conventions. – Mining or Ports Sector in particular
Developed skills in the development of technical documents.
Analytical troubleshooting skills.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Practical Site experience of network systems (commissioning and fault-finding experience essential)
