The role

At Accenture, Supply Chain and Operations practice helps clients develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and fulfillment functions within an organization, as well as connect suppliers and customers across the extended supply chain.

Supply Chain Planning leaders shape integrated planning and execution solutions that drive business growth while increasing supply chain resiliency.

As a part of our Supply chain and operations practice, you will help organizations reimagine and transform their supply chains for tomorrow—with a positive impact on the business, on society and on the planet.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Find solutions to clients’ demand and supply planning problems

  • Persuade senior clients and Accenture managers “why alternate approaches” may be needed

  • Decide which methods and procedures to use when completing projects

  • Work alone or manage large, diverse teams as needed, either at the client or at Accenture

  • Make sure that projects help clients meet their important goals

  • Solving key business problems and challenges by enabling end-to-end Supply Chain transformation, painting a picture of, and charting a journey from the current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment.

  • Overseeing the design and implementation of Supply Chain solutions

  • Orchestrating assessments to help to identify vulnerabilities in the current state of our clients

  • Helping to develop and expand the Supply Chain Services consulting portfolio through thought leadership and opportunity identification

  • Managing business development opportunities to bring innovative solutions and ways of working to clients

  • Building and applying technical, industry, organization, and functional knowledge to support efforts in selling opportunities to existing and new clients

  • Developing, utilizing, and sharing your deep skills as a Consulting practitioner to ensure market and client relevance.

  • Leading in the design and implementation of Supply Chain process, operating model, and technical solutions

  • Be ready to challenge old ways of doing things

  • Manages medium to large sized o9 Business Solution teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture.

  • Serve as the chief planner/architect for o9 delivery initiative

What you'll do daily

  • Host client facing workshops, using a variety of in person and digital tools, including design thinking and other structured workshop methods.

  • Analyse business needs to develop requirements, user stories and other ways of describing client needs.

  • Perform the detailed design of business processes and functional application design using best practices for Supply Chain implementations.

  • Present your work in playbacks to clients and their stakeholders, including in group environments.

  • Ensure work is well engineered and is performant and maintainable.

  • Inform the solution architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project and develop approaches to mitigate risk.

  • Participate in transitions of the application or functional components to the testers.

  • Fix any functional defects and performance problems discovered in testing.

  • Document the application to facilitate maintenance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and business acumen

  • Minimum 8+ years scoping and delivering transformation and innovation technology advisory solutions and services, preferably in o9

  • Minimum 5 year of experience in any the following areas:

    • Supply Chain Technology Cloud Advisory

    • Enterprise Technology Architecture

    • Enterprise Agility

    • Transformation Management

    • Business Case Development and Financial Assessment

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Evidence of leading o9 solutions as a product owner, technical client service lead or solution consultant

  • Advance knowledge/Expertise for o9 Solution: such as Supply Planning, Forecasting and Demand Planning, ATP, Aggregate Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Attribute Based Planning, Sales & Operations Planning

  • O9 author certification or contributor certification

  • Senior Level Expertise in functional integration (ongoing closed loop) to major ERP

  • Advanced Understanding of o9 Solutions Data Model

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent leadership and management skills
