About the role:

This role is part of the Accenture IBM & Red Hat business group that focuses on bringing the best of Red Hat and IBM hybrid and multi-cloud capabilities, combined with Accenture's world-leading business and change leadership to help customers.

If you are coming from a technical or Enterprise Architecture background, pre-sales, and facilitated agile workshops with high energy and passion for technology - this role is for you!

In this role, you will be focusing on:

  • Sales Pipeline progression: Contribution to generate, explore, drive opportunities, determine pursuit strategies, and deal shapes, develop client messaging plans and relationships, negotiate, or influence on significant matters and apply industry-leading Cloud, Infrastructure and Software engineering practices to sell profitable technology work.
  • Gather, Assesses, and validate customer needs, both business and technical working with account leads and partner

  • Marketing & Workshop facilitation: Working with Labs, incubating new offerings and leading and facilitating client workshops, using lean start-up ideation process to build credentials and collateral to expand market presence and progress the opportunities through the deal life cycle.
  • Develop and improve technical scenarios and use cases.
  • Provide Solution options, drive proposals, presentations, and other communication

  • Business Development: Support business development and knowledge sharing into Accenture Technology Cloud Infrastructure & Software engineering for IBM and Red Hat solutions and offerings.
  • Contributing to RFQ, RFI, RFT, RFP and other quotation processes and documentation.
  • Being able to position how a particular business objective will be achieved, or problem will be solved with IBM and Red hat solutions.

  • Support collaboration across different organizational domains and cloud ecosystem partners to define and execute the Cloud sales strategy and bring the best of Accenture Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering offerings to our clients.

  • Product Campaign and Product Offer development: Contribute to development and execution of market plays, forming new products to market, field marketing and digital/online marketing.

About You

Proven Technical leader with sales DNA and an entrepreneurial mindset. You will have a deep understanding of hybrid Cloud solutions, preferably IBM and Red Hat solutions and a background of successful technical sales experience in IT Professional Services or platforms as well as stakeholder management experience. Your skillset and previous experience will also include:
 

  • Client Relationship Building and Account Management
  • Cloud Adoption and migration, preferably using the IBM and Red Hat Technology stacks (preferred)
  • Technology positioning and technology market trends
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Agile, Design Thinking and LEAN Start-up delivery methods, EG double diamond approach
  • Deal shaping and pursuit management
  • Business case development
  • Background in Agile Scrum or Enterprise architecture (nice to have)
  • Value Analysis & Architecture
  • Customer Analysis and segmentation (nice to have)

The Cloud First global initiative is a significant growth driver for the NGGM and seeks to build stronger engagement with our ecosystem, and this role aims to accelerate this into A/NZ

Clients are facing enormous cost pressures with legacy and monolithic technologies, however, cannot wholly move away from this technology so they have a fundamental technology / business challenge

IBM and Red Hat have been identified as a key relationship to nurture a partnership in A/NZ with significant market opportunities for clients encompassing:

  • IT Infrastructure and Application Modernisation, particularly using Hybrid and Multi-cloud adoption models
  • Application of AI/ML combined with automation to optimise their operations
  • New emerging concepts in quantum computing, Containerisation, Edge computing, IoT, AI/ML, etc.
