The AVBG Market Development Director (MDD) is focused on creating pipeline (Stage 0 & Beyond) for the AVBG through enhanced collaboration and partnership with Cloud and client sales teams. An MDD achieves sales origination outcomes using a structured approach to generate awareness, positive relationship with the VMware sales and partner team plus performing client discovery within their market. Successful outcomes include A) handing over a client qualified opportunity to a sales capture lead, B) increased percentage of influenced partner business and C) Increases support of the sales cycle through business development

Skills Required

  • Internal and/or Client Relationship experience
  • Proven, successful sales experience in IT Professional Services or Platforms.
  • Strong network and relationships in the VMware Ecosystem
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrable success in building new propositions and go to market
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Experience in VMware Cloud Solutions Architecture, Automation and DevOps, Cloud & Infrastructure Business and Value Realization Cases.  Certifications in any of the platforms are highly regarded.
  • Positive attitude, high motivation level and a passion for growth and business building.
  • Experience identifying and qualifying opportunities.
  • Technical acumen blended with ability to communicate business value.
  • Solid understanding of the VMware solutions
  • Experience in working (or partnering with) a Top tier Consulting firm
  • Conduct research as well as competitor analysis, delivering client presentations, preparing estimates, proposals and participating in negotiations.
  • Assuring the client of the commitment and driving the delivery process by working collaboratively with delivery.
  • Work closely with Solutions Architects to build customized solutions and pitches to enhance revenue growth.
