Project Role Description : Execute data migration by extracting, transforming, and loading data into the target system according to defined rules. Build, run, and validate migration scripts and processes to ensure data quality and consistency.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SharePoint Developer to lead and execute the migration of our SharePoint 2016 environment to SharePoint Subscription Edition. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless transition while minimizing disruption to business operations. The successful candidate will serve as the technical bridge between development teams and operations, managing custom code migration, dependency assessments, and coordinating with stakeholder teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Migration Impact Assessment
Conduct comprehensive analysis of the current SharePoint 2016 environment
Identify potential risks, compatibility issues, and technical blockers
Document the scope of migration with detailed impact analysis
Create migration roadmaps and risk mitigation strategies
Prepare stakeholder reports on migration timelines and resource requirements
2. Dependency Analysis & Management
Map all system dependencies, integrations, and interconnected applications
Assess third-party solutions, custom web parts, and extensions for compatibility
Identify and document breaking changes between SharePoint 2016 and Subscription Edition
Coordinate with relevant teams to understand business-critical workflows and data flows
Create comprehensive dependency documentation for post-migration validation
3. Coordination with SharePoint Operations Team
Serve as primary technical liaison between development and SharePoint operations teams
Participate in migration planning meetings and steering committees
Provide technical guidance during deployment phases
Coordinate test schedules, validation activities, and rollback procedures
Maintain clear communication channels and escalation protocols throughout the migration
Support post-migration troubleshooting and optimization efforts
4. Custom Development Code Migration
Audit and inventory all custom development code in the current environment
Evaluate custom solutions for compatibility with Subscription Edition
Lead refactoring or redevelopment of incompatible custom code
Ensure custom applications, workflows, and solutions are migrated without data loss or functionality degradation
Conduct thorough testing of migrated custom code in staging environments
Document code changes and maintain version control throughout the process


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint Server Development.
- Experience in designing and implementing data migration solutions within SharePoint environments.
- Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Ability to develop, test, and optimize migration scripts and workflows.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting data inconsistencies and ensuring data integrity during migration.
- Knowledge of SharePoint architecture and integration points to support seamless data migration.
- Additional Skillset required - .NET , C#

- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Microsoft SharePoint Server Development.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
