Quality Engineer
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

As a Custom Software Engineer (QE – Automation), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation solutions aligned with business and quality objectives. Your typical day will involve building and enhancing automation frameworks, validating complex systems through UI and API automation, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery. You will leverage modern automation tools, CI/CD practices, and agile methodologies to improve test efficiency and overall engineering excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for test automation and collaborate with the team to drive high performance and quality outcomes.
Take ownership of technical and team-level decisions related to automation strategy, framework enhancements, and tooling.
Engage with multiple teams (development, product, DevOps) and contribute to key technical and quality decisions.
Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions for UI, API, and database validation.
Provide effective solutions to complex testing and automation challenges across the immediate team and multiple teams.
Ensure adherence to best practices in automation, coding standards, version control, and CI/CD integration.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, code reviews, and technical discussions to enhance team capability and maturity.
Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their technical growth and career development.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java-based Selenium automation frameworks, including Cucumber (BDD).
Hands-on experience in API and Web Services Automation (REST-based services).
Solid experience with Git / Bitbucket for version control and collaborative development.
Practical exposure to test and work management tools such as JIRA, Horizon, and Octane.
Good working knowledge of Oracle DB and SQL for data validation and backend testing.
Secondary / Good To Have Skills:
Exposure to Playwright for modern UI automation.
Experience or basic working knowledge of RPA tools such as UI Path.
Additional Technical Expectations:
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, and methodologies.
Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation with build and deployment processes.
Ability to analyze application behavior, debug automation failures, and troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Additional Information:
All listed skills should have a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience.
Overall experience should be 6+ years in Selenium-based automation testing.
This position is based at our Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore/Coimbatore office.
A 15 years of full-time education is mandatory.
