Salesforce Development Lead

Role description

The successful candidate will be able to lead cross functional product development teams to design, develop and enhance software assets that meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations, and meet product functionality, cost and delivery schedules. Apply knowledge to create an environment that fosters accountability, quality, commitment, growth and innovation. Support the sales process as needed by participating in the solution design. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross functional team to examine and translate business requirements into a solution using Salesforce capabilities
  • Implement highly maintainable Salesforce solutions and perform peer code reviews to ensure the same.
  • Participate in development workstreams, from design through testing and deployment.
  • Maintain effective client relationships, delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report project risks.
  • Work with other developers, designers, and architects to ensure the build meets business requirements and performance goals.
  • Participate in ‘Go-Live’ support and testing activities

Skills Required:

  • Acquaintance with software development practices, patterns and principles (SOLID, DRY, clean architecture, continuous delivery, …)
  • One or more current Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer 1 or 2, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud) is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce continuous delivery, knowledge of Salesforce DX and Git are a must have
  • Highly developed analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer in the analysis, design, hands-on development and project delivery.
  • Team Leadership and Salesforce technical expert.
  • Experience managing the technical deliver of Salesforce solutions and customisation.
  • Experience with agile / scrum and waterfall development methodologies
