Our Domain Specialist Lead provides solution architecture, technical expertise and guidance in identifying client requirements, evaluating these against the client’s current infrastructure and system capabilities, and ensures the managed services solutions proposed meet the client’s objectives. In addition to being viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client, our Domain Specialist also has the responsibility for oversight of solution delivery.

Location: This position will be based in Australia. Candidate maybe required to travel to different areas of Australia

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical presales activities, including developing end-to-end technology solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry best practices.

  • Lead a team of pre-sales specialists to achieve revenue targets

  • Translate between business problems and technology solutions

  • Collaborate with sales teams to engage with clients, understand business challenges, and propose tailored solutions

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Application Services, Managed Infrastructure services, Cloud Migration, Data Analytics, Database Services, Cloud Optimisation and Security and Compliance.

  • Work with the client and internal team to identify future needs to align with product suit

  • Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered

  • Provide strong technical oversite and subject matter expertise during the definition and delivery phase

  • Keep current with trends and technological innovations

  • Develop long-term technology road maps for client solutions

  • Conduct technical review of existing client solutions to determine future mapping to managed solutions

  • Influence technology direction with solid analysis

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Technical skills:

  • Strong technology background that includes consulting and pre-sales experience

  • Experience in architecting or engineering with Public, Private and Hybrid cloud

  • Experience in managing customer on premise infrastructure and applications

  • Proficiency with cloud migration techniques; re-host, re-platform, refactor

  • Experience in architecting and deployment of one or more of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, Infrastructure Managed Services and Hyperion

  • Sound understanding of Database refactoring into PaaS Based services like Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Azure Managed instances, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database PaaS

  • Sound understanding of BI, Data warehouse and ETL processes in public cloud deployments

  • Deep understanding of RDMS and NOSQL Databases

  • Articulate the journey towards micro services – Containers, Kubernetes or service fabric

  • Deep understanding of Network and security cloud native components in pure public cloud deployments

  • Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, migration, disaster recovery, virtualization and managed services

  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize and organize effectively

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

  • Strong client service orientation and expert client engagement skills

  • Express a passion for technology and keeping informed of market trends

  • Ability to research and obtain new product and technical knowledge

  • Have the expertise and ability to interact with any level of an organization

  • Ability to define and recommend solutions based on data analysis

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including strong negotiation skills

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, ensuring skill development and career growth

  • Confidence in making strategic technical and business decisions

  • Applicant can demonstrate a history of achieving of retiring sales targets (growth/whitespace)

  • Able to demonstrate and ability to rapidly scope and qualify potential opportunities

Certifications:

One or more of the following is required:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2020 Certified Architect Associate

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2020 Certified Architect Professional
