A permanent, Canberra based opportunity has become available for a motivated Human Centred Design Lead (Service Designer) to join us working on major social reform programmes.
ln this role you will:
contribute to developing and building our design capability, while leading and mentoring team members
co-design and ideate with internal and external stakeholders to bring concepts and products to life
provide senior counsel on design thinking while managing the delivery of client engagements
be a proactive and socially confident individual who enjoys working in multi-disciplinary environments
collaborate with policy, operations and technical teams to understand complex problems and test solutions
synthesize research findings and data to communicate meaningful user insights to decision makers
enjoy delivering innovative, human centred design solutions

To ensure your success, your experience will include the following;
a proven track record of strategic, service and user centered design working on a diverse portfolio of projects in the government or private sector
experience in applying systems thinking to solve complex problems
experience in creating design artefacts (e.g. service blueprints and user journeys) to communicate complex concepts
demonstrated success using data and research as an evidence base for design
genuine expertise in managing multiple projects, stakeholders and small teams
