This role requires an experienced and industry-focused integrated marketer that is familiar with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and tactics to develop and execute marketing campaigns with key Australian accounts in the communications industry.  The role will also work closely with the business and marketing teams in key markets outside Australia to lead the marketing activities that drive awareness and demand for solutions targeting major software and platform players across Asia Pacific.
Based in Australia and operating as part of a global team, the Industry & Client-Centric Marketing Manager will develop and execute key account marketing strategies to help build deep executive relationships, drive demand for Accenture and support major sales opportunities. A strong understanding of the interconnection between the communications, media and technology industry is a must in order to drive relevant propositions and messaging with key clients and the broader market.  Partner marketing experience will be an added advantage to support the important ecosystem plays across these industries and collaborate with key clients for joint marketing events, media and industry opportunities, joint go-to-market.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, manage and execute industry and client marketing strategies and programs that touches the client across their journey with Accenture; from awareness, demand to purchase, helping the operating group achieve strong business results.  
  • Manage the full spectrum of activities associated with these programs: assess business objectives and associated audiences and communication needs; develop innovative communication strategies and plans; gain sponsor approvals; writing, editing and campaign execution; assess, measure and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Manage end-to-end industry campaign and ABM activities, working closely with supervisor and other marketing and sales development team members to ensure marketing alignment with sales efforts and receive program buy-in from key internal stakeholders.
  • This includes taking ownership and aligning them to clear objectives, execution of events and industry sponsorship – from content development, speaker placement, alliance partner activities, advertising, client development, lead generation and ROI tracking
  • Implement a robust channel strategy taking in new media or online channels for better reach or cost efficiency
  • Provide marketing support and counsel to Accenture leaders and account teams, including opportunity centric marketing and supporting specific sales opportunities; as well as deliver the benefits of a content led, issues based and digitally enabled approach to marketing and communications for key Australian Clients and for our Software and Platform clients.
  • Plan, execute and track digitally based demand generation campaigns that engage targets with content relative to their agendas
  • Ensure that plans and messages are aligned with Accenture’s and the CMT operating group’s business strategy, reinforce brand positioning and are delivered effectively to external audiences. Responsible for developing and leading the production of sales and marketing collateral, customer credentials, videos and overall program content to meet business objectives
  • Manage budget and resource plans to enable achievement of objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate with other areas within Marketing & Communications and other entities to ensure integration of the best of Accenture marketing programs for Communications, Media & Technology clients and sharing of best practices.
  • Develop creative direction and manage development, including management of outside design firms and coordination with brand.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required up to 20%

Insights and industry marketing guidance: Integrated GU Marketing Lead for Australia, Australia CMT Managing Director and APAC CMT Software & Platform Industry Managing Director
Manages:       Internal stakeholders across the CMT APAC leadership
                     External relationships with vendors and agencies
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
Work Experience:  
  • Minimum 10 years of overall marketing experience
  • Industry-relevant, telecommunication/enterprise B2B market experience in marketing, sales or revenue driven roles is a plus
  • Partner Marketing and work experience outside of Australia in markets like China, in the software and platforms industry would be an advantage
Professional Skill Requirements:
  • Proven communication planning and management skills in support of ongoing operations and project-based initiatives.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) in English and possess good interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an advantage, but is not compulsory
  • Proven global expertise and good perspective on the Communications, Media & Technology industries.
  • Executive level presence and influence – the ability to work effectively with senior leaders globally.
  • Experience with up-to-date digital communications mediums, including social media.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative, team player
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills.
  • Able to work effectively across groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Quick self-starter with a proven record of success.
